Keeping It Beal

The most expensive word in business is yes.

I learned that in 2019. It cost me almost everything. Now I run every opportunity through 8 checks before I say it. You should too.

In 2019, everything I had built got ripped out from underneath me. I found myself in a lawsuit, a multiple six-figure monthly income was gone, and the business I had sacrificed five years to build disappeared almost overnight.

That season was dark. I had missed family time, lived on the road, built teams, built volume, and tied too much of my identity to one company. Then I had to sell things, fight, rebuild, and face the fact that I had trusted the opportunity without inspecting enough of what was behind it.

The 8 Checks came out of that. Not from a book. From getting hit hard enough to stop trusting only the product, the pay plan, or the story. Today, before I put my name, time, money, team, or reputation behind an opportunity, I inspect the ownership, infrastructure, and alignment first. You should too.

The 8 Checks

Before I say yes to any business opportunity, I run it through eight checks.
